Conceptual Branding Project
The Museum of Sex was branded with the intention of highlighting the social narrative around sex through art.
Within American society sex is taboo, the main digital platforms for sex educators and artist to engage with audiences about the topic are quickly increasing censorship. It is important to create public spaces to ignite social acceptance around work that comments on sex.
Artist are becoming limited within digital spaces. The mission for this Museum is promote discussions about the way we view sex in art and culture. The Museum uses censorship as ironic commentary on the way we discuss sex in public spaces. The branding is designed to use the X not as a mark of censorship but as a window for provocative imagery.
